Cary Skate Park Project
We the undersigned, as citizens of North America support the development of a publicly funded skate parkin Cary, NC. Many other cities across the United States have opened such parks and have reported few problems or lawsuites. Studies have shown that extreme sports is no more dangerous than tennis or basketball, and certianly poses of a liabilty threat than a public pool, all of which is provided for by some part of the city. We have recognized the need for and the benifits of a skate park and that Cary should at the very least aid us by parceling a portion of public land for this use. And at the most, build and maintain a skatepark as it would a tennis court, basketball court, swimming area, playground, baseball diamond, or othe general use public areas.
